After two very long and exhausting days, my bed has never looked so good. Ever. (And has also made this is the only photo I could muster for today.)

A gnarly day in Pano. So many photos I couldn't choose just one...
Here's what went down:
Here's what went down:
- Powder.
- Ali got stuck in the snow...a couple times
- Faceplants
- Ali and I got stuck on a massive cliff...but we managed to avoid it and make it out alive. It was very funny.
- Actually, everything was pretty funny today

After a delayed flight to Calgary and a stressful yet funny drive up to Panorama with Ali, the Mario siblings are re-united. Time for the youngest of the 3 to be the host with the most. Look out, Pano! We're a dangerous trio.

Knitting night with Kaitlin!
Oh and those are my new slippers she brought back for me from the little old lady in Paradise Hill, SK (because I wore the old ones till they had holes)

Today Kristin and I went on a big UBC campus adventure. From the neighbourhod to the Old Barn Community Centre to see Charlie the rabbit (who was on vacation apparently...?), to the park and the playground where LOTS of puddle jumping and skipping (as seen in photo) went down, to Thunderbird arena where we had a snack, watched the hockey players and crossed our fingers the zamboni would appear (to no avail). An exhausting yet thrilling morning for a 2-year-old and 22-year-old alike :)

Last week, Packers lose. This week the 49ers lose...my one last hope of having one of my teams in the Superbowl is out the window.

This is me. In the atrium at work. The view from the north side of Steamworks. Not too shabby!

One of the most miserable days of the year. I would happily welcome back the "cold" and snow over today's weather.

Late-night guitar playing. It's not quite the same without Randi!
(I forgot to post this yesterday. Oops.)
January 17, 2012
Randi the world traveller is ready to head out the door! She has been in the majority of my pic of the days simply to make up for her future lack of appearances. Gonna miss you buddy!

'The last supper': Extreme nachos
(as a side note - I'm very frustrated by this website destroying the resolution in my good photos...this picture is actually a lot more vibrant than it appears here!)

A devastating Green Bay loss can only be remedied in a couple ways -- watching Ricky Gervais be gone-too-far funny on the Golden Globes and skyping with my silly sister :)
January 14, 2012
A classic night at the Graveley house -- Quinn, Randi, and Cole winding down the Mexican-themed potluck for Randi's farewell gathering.

A beautiful day in Whistler.
Those two are some of the best people I know.

I'm supposed to be working, but these three hooligans/dear friends/co-workers (Stacey, Laura, Simona) are very distracting. (Oh and Laura looks like a devil child)

At the aquarium! This is Randi and Kristin. And is also my new part-time job - taking over for Randi when she leaves. Basically get to hang out with a 2-year-old a twice a week and do fun things.

Alright, I'll admit that this picture doesn't look like much. And I will also admit I didn't do a heck of a lot today to warrant a creative photo. But let me tell you, this was a great game of football. There's nothin' like it.

Walking to the skytrain this morning on my way to work and I saw this. It made me smile a very big smile.

This is kind of a funny picture because it's not of much. But it represents being surrounded by wicked friends, playing a competitive (and funny) game of Catch Phrase, drinking good beer, looking out at the city lights from a high-rise apartment, and having an all around awesome (alliteration!) time.

L-R: Keeley (Griff's pal), Randi (roomie), Griff (Randi's brother). The morning after my first night back in Van. Made banana & chocolate chip pancakes, fresh fruit salad, coffee and listened to Jack Johnson. Friends, food, fun = the perfect start to a day.

I took this when my sister and I were driving out to Lumsden on Highway 11. The sight of this will never cease to take my breath away. My heart will always be a prairie heart.

This is my puppy, Teasha. She is almost 12 years old and is a part of the family, not to mention the cutest dog in the whole wide world!
A Year in Photos!
So before the new year I decided to do "a year in photos." I've seen it done before -- someone takes a picture every day and posts it on Facebook with a caption or story to accompany it. They usually end up forgetting about it half way through the year I've noticed, so I'm hoping I actually follow through! I have also decided that I'm not going to use Facebook, and instead post a photo on here each day. I seemed to have missed the very first day of 2012, but perhaps to make up for it I'll take 1 photo in 2013.
Each day I am going to take a picture (usually with my phone). The photos may be totally meaningless some days, but others days the photo may depict my mood, what I'm doing that day, or something I find fascinating. I feel like this will help me appreciate the little things that most days I would overlook. I hope to look back on these and have a little memory for each day. I'm grateful every single day for the life I am able to lead, so why not share it.
I'm already a week behind in posting because I wasn't sure how I was going to go about this, though the photo-taking began on January 2nd.
Here we go!
