Tonight I worked another off-premise event. Jon (on the left there) is the head chef at Crave and competed in Gold Medal Plates -- a fundraiser for olympic athletes as well as a food competition. We served goose 3 different ways (yes...GOOSE!? As a vegetarian it hurt my heart to hear about how the geese were acquired) and paired it with a locally brewed Baltic Porter.
I got to: hold an olympic silver medal, be a couple yards away from Adam Van Koeverden (what a babe) and Jamie Sale, drink good beer, meet cool people, and have some plain ol' fun.
Not bad for a night of work, huh?
